Beasts of No Nation

Just watched Beasets of No Nation on Netflix and thought it was a great film. It reminds me that there is so much complexity in destabalized regions in the world.Had to get these drawings out as a result. Clearly influenced by the styles of Violaine Briat, Julien Rossire and Alexandre Diboine. Thanks for taking a look!

Incredibles Colorscript Studies

I had a blast doing these studies from the opening scene of the Incredibles. I love Brad Bird as a director and went on a binge of Mission Impossible films after watching Mission Impossible 5. finished it off with the Incredibles because there are so many similarities in tone. What strikes me about all the shots in The Incredibles is how remarkably clear their shots are. All the frames are boiled down to their essence and Brad's 2D sensibilities really show through.  If you haven't seen some of the story moments they cut go watch this.

Fun

Do it because it's fun! Move, groove, live, give, dance and prance. Don't get so caught up in what anyone else think. Stop worrying about what you think. Instinct. Done while listening to The Mars Volta.
